Taiga BioActives Launches National TV Campaign to Support Dr. Krane's KoolLips®
Calgary, AB – January 20, 2009 – Calgary based Taiga BioActives Inc. today announced that it has been awarded a grant under the Alberta Bio-based Processing Incentive Grant Program. The grant is funded through the Agricultural Policy Framework (APF), a federal-provincial-territorial
initiative that aims to make Canada the leader in food safety, innovation and environmentally responsible agriculture production. The funds will be used to advance Taiga’s product portfolio and production capabilities to support new product introductions in personal care and other markets.
The Company’s core technology platform leverages plant-derived extracts and active ingredients from Geranium plants, to deliver high performance, natural treatment options for a variety of health conditions. The Company has two commercial products, Dr. Krane’s KoolLips® and Korner’s Cold
Sore Remedy, selling in leading retail pharmacies across Canada, and all the operational elements in place to manufacture, distribute, market and sell consumer products in Canada.
